Salary: £40-50k + £25-30k commission
Location: London (Hybrid 1-2 x week in office)

We’re working with a research and insights organisation looking for a Business Development Consultant with interest in media to join its collaborative team.

This is a pure hunter new business sales role for someone who enjoys opening conversations, developing relationships and winning new business. You’ll engage clients, understand their challenges and develop opportunities using data and insight-led propositions.

The role offers the chance to learn a product portfolio while building sales skills and working with product, operations and account management teams. Sales cycles can vary from around a month to several months, so persistence and confidence are important.

Key responsibilities:

• Identifying new business opportunities through research, lead generation and outbound activity

• Prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn and sales tools

• Building relationships with decision-makers and qualifying opportunities

• Managing opportunities through negotiation and close

• Developing questions to uncover client needs

• Supporting presentations, proposals and client conversations

• Maintaining a pipeline and working towards targets and KPIs

Successful candidates need to be UK based along with a valid working permit and must be able to commute to the London office 1-2 times per week.
