Translation Project Manager

Our client a leading language and translations company would like to increase their Translation Project Delivery teams and are seeking a strong and experienced Translation Project Manager to manage project delivery for a series of market research, healthcare/pharma, and consumer client accounts. This role covers the full project cycle in that it will combine both client account/relationship management and project management, creating a more challenging and rewarding career path. 

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Project manage language service projects independently & service delivery for clients
  • Use principles, methods and tools to effectively manage/coordinate the projects under their accountability from initiation through to delivery
  • Determine resource requirements (e.g. linguist, budget, timing) and operational needs
  • Ensure project resources maintain a high level of quality and professional and ethical standards
  • Proactively lead the identification of any potential issues and resolve and close identified gaps
  • Participate in business development efforts and client meetings 

Experience required:

  • Degree in linguistics, social or applied science, or other related field and keen interest/background in languages.
  • Language skills: Fluent English and native in one other language (German, French, Japanese preferred). Fluent/advanced in third language advantageous
  • 2 years + PM experience
  • Experience working in translation agency or department within an agency preferred
  • Experience working in a market research agency
  • Proven knowledge (Advanced) of CAT tools - ability to train others
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent Microsoft skills 

Salary: Junior £22-£27k Senior £28-£32k
